Last Saturday, we had a busy, but fun-filled day! We started off going to pick up some food storage we had ordered. Then, we headed over to Irvine Park to get some pictures at the pumpkin patch. Miley was NOT in the mood for pics. She just wanted to run around and do her own thing. It was frustrating that she wasn't cooperating since we paid $5 to get in. But, she was content running around as long as she was not being forced to sit amongst the pumpkins. Kelsey on the other hand was hamming it up and doing a great job taking pict
ures! Both the girls enjoyed going through the haunted house. *(Disclaimer--yes, there are a couple of pictures where Miley is semi-smiling and looks happy, but if you knew how long we were there and how unhappy she was when we tried to sit her down, you would understand my frustration! Believe me, there are more pics where she looks like she's being tortured!)

After the pumpkin patch, we tried our luck at the Orange County Fire Department Open House. We had to park at a salvation army near by, walk 1/4 mile to wait for a bus for a long period of time, and get bussed over to the fire department. It took about 40 min and was quite the ordeal, especially considering it was pretty hot outside. But, we got to meet up with all the California cousins for a few photo-ops, then we ate lunch, and Kelsey got to go on a treasure hunt while learning about fire safety!

So, we were gone to the pumpkin patch and fire station from 9:30-2:30. I went home for a short break and installed a new ceiling fan in the kitchen before heading to the park to take some pictures of Kelsey's cute friend who recently turned 3. Again, it was quite the busy day, and we were quite exhausted by the end of it, but we had a blast spending time together as a family!
