Good News!

Well, January has been quite the eventful (stressful, hectic, insane) month for us! Hopefully I'm not posting too soon, but we finally heard some good news today. Last week Kyle was playing basketball and hurt his wrist very bad. We had a sleepless night that night, but we didn't want to bother with the ER. So he went to the Urgent Care in the morning to find out that he had fractured his scaphoid bone. What a nightmare! The doctor said he couldn't play sports for at least six weeks (yes, a death sentence for Kyle), and that he may have to have surgery. Well, he went back this afternoon for a follow-up X-ray, and we found out that his wrist isn't fractured after all! I was on a field trip to Williams-Sonoma when he was going to the doctor, and I was telling my friends that it would just be so nice to hear some good news for once, but with our luck this month, he would probably need surgery or his hand amputated. I was pretty much expecting the worst hoping to be pleasantly surprised. His hand is bruised pretty badly, but the doctor said he could start playing sports again, but just to take it easy.

Also, I played in a basketball game last night and I scored a basket, got some rebounds, and stole the ball a few times too. I was pretty impressed with myself. I didn't think I would be able to run up and down the court without needing a break. Also, I think this was the first time since we've been married that Kyle actually watched ME in a sporting event instead of the other way around!

One more thing . . . although I won't have my husband with me on Valentine's Day, we are going to Orlando over the President's Day Weekend. So, I may need to crash at somebody's house for a few days because I don't like being alone. This will be the first time we've ever been apart for a night, but Kyle HAS to go play at Disney World for a work convention. I'm going to meet up with him on the weekend for our last trip before the baby comes, aka "The Babymoon!"
