Does This Ever Happen to Anyone Else . . .

Or is it just me? Have you ever had those moments when you just think to yourself, "Are you serious? You have GOT to be kidding me!" Well, I've had a couple of those this week.

On Wednesday I was doing a lot of laundry. Even though I do it every week, for some reason a lot more had accumulated. I was so proud of myself for washing, drying, folding, and putting away all of the laundry in a timely manner. It literally took up our entire bed! And then, wouldn't you know that a few minutes later, Kelsey has a blowout and ruined her outfit! (Which she hasn't done in a long time.) Of course this had to happen right after I finished the laundry! I just had to laugh at Kelsey's impeccable timing! Solution: I decided to throw another load together of sheets so that I could go ahead and wash the dirty outfit instead of waiting until next week.

Today we were running some errands and having a grand ole' time. We were strolling along when Kelsey started to get a little antsy. A few minutes later, I realized that she was stinky and needed a diaper change. This happens several times a day, so you would think this is not big deal, right? Wrong! We stroll along to the bathroom, and everything is fine until I get the wipes out and realize I only have ONE left! (And this was definitely not a one-wipe job!) I knew I was running low, but seriously, why did there have to be one left when I clearly needed more than that? Solution: I got a wet paper towel to finish the job. I just had to laugh again because it just seemed inevitable that this would happen!

Does anyone else have exciting little mishaps from this week? I hope you were able to laugh it off if you did!

In other news:

I made an election night dinner featuring:

"Barack"oli Casserole aka Broccoli Casserole
(Seriously, I came up with this name myself, and I felt really domestic and creative!)

andMcCherry Cobbler (for McCain)

Kelsey and I went to the park and played on the swings

Kelsey met Baby Evelyn for the first time
Aren't they such precious cousins?

Kelsey is already giving her kisses! They are going to be best friends!

And here are some pictures of what Kelsey likes to do:
This is how I sit up by myself.

This is how I roll over.

This is how I try and steal whatever Mommy has (including the expensive camera.)

This is how I do tummy time and get really strong muscles.

This is how I get messy eating rice cereal because I try and be a good helper and take the spoon to feed myself.

And this is how I lick my fingers because they got rice cereal on them too!

Kelsey is seriously a big girl! I know it is inevitable that she will just keep growing up, but when I was feeding her yesterday it just struck me that she is already so smart and capable of so many things she was not able to do a matter of weeks ago! It is incredible how time flies, but I'm loving every minute!
