Kelsey just keeps surprising us these last two weeks by learning so many new things! She never ceases to amaze us! Here are some of her new "tricks":
(1) Says "Nana" for Banana
(2) Says "Baba" for Ball
(3) Folds her arms to be reverent
(4) Walks around like a maniac!
(5) Says "Tittuh, tittuh, tittuh" for Tickle, tickle, tickle while she tickles our toes or her own toes
(6) Says "Uh-oh!"
(7) Climbs up on everything--she's our little monkey!
(8) Pats her fists on her chest to be a gorilla
(9) Says "hot, hot hot!" when she points to fire
(10) Pushes her own stroller and our shopping carts in the store all by herself!
(11) Stands up unassisted
(12) Points to an object and says "dat"
We love our little girl so much and can't believe how much she keeps learning so quickly! And, since it is Father's Day, I have to express how much Kelsey loves her Daddy! Kyle really is a tender, fun-loving, and devoted father! I am so grateful that Kelsey has Kyle as a father. I know there is a strong correlation between children believing in a Heavenly Father based on their earthly father's attributes, and I know that Kyle possesses so many Godly attributes. Kelsey has a special relationship with Kyle that is difficult to put into words, you just have to see them interact together, but she absolutely adores him to pieces!
Today, I also reflect on my Dad. This holdiay is always bitter sweet. It is sad that I can no longer celebrate with him on this special day, but it is also a good day to think about him even more and appreciate his example in my life. I guess what hurts the most is that I wish Kelsey could get to know him and love him here. I wish I could see my Dad with a big grin on his face because Kelsey is such a joy to be around! Someday . . . we will just have to wait.
We have been out of town, but pictures will come shortly!
