Here is Kelsey on Kyle's shoulders. She loves holding her head up, and she is really good at looking at the camera! I love her somewhat concerned face.

We were waiting to pick up my mom at the airport, so we decided to give Kelsey her first driving lesson. She's saying, "Don't worry Mom. Everything is under control!" Kyle had to help her reach the pedals. (Disclaimer: We were in a parking garage, and we did not really let Kelsey drive the car. )
Picking up my mom from the airport. It was a little windy. My mom found this frog in Dallas, and she just HAD to get it for Kelsey because it's so girly. It's complete with a pink hat, pink flip flops, and pearls!Kelsey was blessed in church on Sunday. It was such a special experience. I was crying before it even started! Kyle was even choked up and couldn't speak without crying in the beginning. I really liked that because even though Kyle is a macho man, he still has a sensitive side when it comes to really special and sacred things. It reminded me of when Kyle proposed to me! Kyle said it just all of the sudden hit him that he is Kelsey's father, and he couldn't control his emotions. What a sweet dad!

All of the men who participated in the blessing circle. From left to right:
Chris Faldmo--a dear friend of mine from Dallas who lives in Cali now
Uncle Scott--Kyle's uncle (on his mom's side)
Logan--Our brother-in-law
Rick--Kyle's dad
Kyle--the proud father holding our precious Kelsey
Michael--Kyle's oldest brother
Doug--Kyle's younger brother who just returned from Brazil
Uncle Frank--technically Kyle's mom's uncle . . . but we call him Uncle Frank
Anthony--Kyle's cousin (son of Uncle Scott)
Cameron--Kyle's second cousin who is a day younger than Kyle
We had a fun luncheon back at Kyle's parents' house. We had chicken salad croissant sandwiches, cheese and crackers, strawberries, grapes, vegetable tray, watermelon, BBQ chips, Doritos, cheesecake with a homemade strawberry glaze, and almost reeses. Everything was delicious! I love that we associate gatherings with food because it just makes every occasion better!
Us with the Chris, Aubrey, and Colby Faldmo. Colby is so adorable! He kept giving me hugs all day. I also sang a solo at church, and when I was walking back to my seat, he started walking toward me and said, "Hi, Megan!" So cute!!! The Faldmos drove an hour and a half to come, and it was so fun to catch up with them!
Kyle's Family
All of the people who came over for the luncheon minus eleven people who had already left. Go big, or go home, right?
Proud Mama! I love my little angel and am so blessed to have the most precious baby in the whole world!Quick side story: Maybe if you are very observant, you noticed that Kelsey does not have a bow in her hair in this picture like she did earlier. Well, apparently it was falling off in the house, so someone was holding on to it. I was trying to put Kelsey's outfit back on for pictures, and I couldn't find the bow anywhere. Kyle told me his friend had it, and I was very confused. He had already left, so Kyle called him and the friend said he put it on the table. Well, the table had nothing on it. I was looking everywhere. My mom had brought the bow up as a present for Kelsey, and it's from a very ritzy store, so it wasn't very replaceable. Anyway, Kyle had to dig through the trash and found it stuffed inside a cup! I was so relieved and thankful that he found it for us! (This was all after we had taken the pictures of course because we didn't have time to find it before.) What a wonderful dad!!!

I'm so glad the blessing day went well! Kelsey is adorable, and you look beautiful, Megan! Congratulations! I really wish we could have been there for it. By the way, we got the birth announcement in the mail the other day--so cute! We miss you guys!
You guys look so cute! The food sounded so good. I wish that I could have heard you sing. We had a funny story at our family reunion. I gave my keys to a 2.5 year old and we ended up finding them in the trash. I did not see Carolyn in the pictures. Had she already left? The frog looked adorable, and we love Andersen's!
