We've Been Busy!

Wow, a lot has happened in the past two weeks! In short, Kyle went on the high adventure trip, and I survived as a single mother; Kyle played in a volleyball tournament; we went to Downtown Disney and watched the fireworks with some friends who were in town; my mother-in-law and I have been making Kelsey's baby blessing dress; Kelsey and I experienced our first earthquake (which was a 5.4); we had a family reunion up in Sacramento; and we picked up Kyle's younger brother Doug from the airport (he has been in Brazil for the last two years serving a mission.) Oh yeah, Kyle also got a job . . . he starts Monday!!! It is very sad to say for the last 5 months we have forgotten what it is like to have income, so we are very grateful that we will be able to remember fairly soon! Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support through everything. I'm sure a lot of other things have happened too, but these were the big things that I could actually remember. Here are some pictures you can enjoy. I will upload more later, but blogger is not letting me do any more for now.

Kyle just blocked the ball. He's a superstar!

Kyle and his vball partner Ivan. Can you tell Kyle just got back from a week in the mountains? This is the longest the hair on his chiny-chin-chin has ever been. Thankfully it was shaved off for Sunday!
Just a beautiful picture of Kelsey. She is SO big! She doesn't like tummy time very much, but she loves relaxing on her back and talking to Mommy. On the "Spirit of Sacramento" riverboat tour. Kelsey experienced her first airplane ride and boat ride on this trip, and she was a trooper! Kyle and I on the paddleboats. Kyle did not think I was very good at steering, and I would have to agree!
Can you tell who it is? I know, the mask disguises very well, but it's me!

Anyway, sorry there aren't more pictures for now. We also went to a community water park on Kelsey's 2 month birthday! She already fits into her 6-9 month swimsuit . . . I find that a little scary myself. Even though Kelsey loves bath time, she was not too fond of the water because it was too cold! Kyle and I, on the other hand, loved the opportunity to cool off in HOT Sacramento.

Kelsey had her 2 month appointment last Monday. She measured at 23 1/2 inches and 12 pounds 4 ounces . . . both just under the 90th percentile! And, we had to experience the nightmare every parent dreads . . . Kelsey's first shots!!! This was SO sad to watch our little girl feel so much pain. She was just giving me this look of, "Why are you letting them do this to me??????? Why? Why? Why?" But, we were so PROUD of our strong little girl. She literally cried for 2 minutes during and just after the shots, and then she just snuggled with her Mommy. I took a Disney Princess sticker for her because she was such a good patient!

Yahooo!! Kyle has a job. I bet that is weird. I like his hairy face:-) That is so neat that you and Kyle's mom are making Kelsey a dress. I want to see some pictures. Kelsey is adorable and you look great! Those shots are rough. Good thing you took a sticker:-)

YEAH, booy. What job is it? How is it so far?? Way to go on surviving the earthquake (and the whole single mother experience) haha. We miss you guys! We drove by Jim's Family Restaurant last night and thought about you. LOL. Anyways, hope you're going great.
