Boy oh boy! These last few days I have really been losing my mind! I realized on Thursday that I lost (or was robbed) an insert in my wallet that held pictures and several gift cards. This was very depressing to me because I had some baby gift cards in there that we were going to use to buy a few big things we need that we've been saving up for. I searched our entire house several times. I've looked under couches, in our cars, and every small crevice it could possibly be. I wasn't completely freaking out because I figured that it may have fallen out of my diaper bag when I was in Utah because I was in four different peoeple's cars while I was there. So, I call all of those people on Friday, and no luck. I checked the airport lost and found . . . no such luck. It is a sad realization to know I will never see or be able to use those gift cards again. I know it's not the end of the world, but it is a pretty big deal since we've been saving these for a while, and we're not exactly making millions right now.
Anyway, I think my synapses (how nerve cells communicate) have not been functioning properly. On Friday afternoon I was running a bunch of errands at Tustin Market Place. I went to one store and put my keys in my pocket. I drove to another store and while I was in the store I realized that my keys weren't in my pocket anymore! Naturally, I start panicking a little bit. I was worried that they had fallen out and perhaps someone snatched them or I wouldn't be able to find them. I decided I needed to calm down a little bit and just look through my bag to make sure they weren't in there. Luckily, I had thrown them in my diaper bag, so I was much more relieved. But then, I started trying to use my bluetooth and it wasn't working. I realized that I had left my phone in the car, so it was just out of range. I kept perusing around the store, bought a couple of things, and proceeded out to my car. Uh-oh! My phone was not there! So, I start panic mode again. I thought that perhaps I had accidentally knocked it off the console, so I start checking under all of the seats, and no luck. What was my problem? I had lost my cell phone! Lo and behold, I dug through my diaper bag, and apparently I had thrown it in there as well.
Call it a lack of sleep, call it synapse malfunction, but I think I will call it, "Welcome to Motherhood!" There are so many things to worry about taking care of a small baby that now I can't even keep track of my car keys or cell phone! Kyle told me I need to wear a utility belt to hold everything! I do not really like this phase of craziness because I am usually so on top of things, but I have found myself to be more forgetful and my memory is not as good either. Don't worry, I am still functioning quite well, but I could not believe how absurd things got while I was running errands a few days ago. I can still take cute pictures of Kelsey! Here are some from around the house during one of Kelsey's many impromtu photo shoots.

And here are some of us when we went to go visit my mom at the Marriott Newport Beach and Spa Resort at Fashion Island. (Which happens to be the hotel we stayed in for our mini-honeymoon right after we got married.)

Here is where I stood 2 years ago in my wedding dress as I waited for Kyle to park our car and bring the luggage in. (We were too cheap for valet.) I'm not one who usually enjoys being the center of attention, but I must say I enjoyed being complimented by everyone who walked in the hotel. Everyone asked if I just got married, and they told me how beautiful I looked. It was fun to stand there again with Kelsey in my arms and feel so blessed to have such a beautiful daughter.
Here is Kyle standing with Kelsey in the front lobby (where I stood in the above picture.) This hotel has the most gorgeous and stunning table arrangements.
And here we are standing outside suite 742 where we stayed for our honeymoon. Ah, how far we have come!

I am so sorry Megan! You have so many things to keep track of with children. I feel like I am losing things all the time.
