Just the thought of trying to post what we've been up to since Thanksgiving makes me a little stressed! Of course this is a busy time of year for everyone, but after receiving some complaints, I will try and do a "brief" (realizing that it will still be long) synopsis of what we've been busy doing.
November 22-28: We spent Thanksgiving in Dallas and had a blast! We went to the Gaylord Texan, which had the coolest Christmas decor ever. We even went to the ICE exhibit with all kinds of ice sculptures. It was 9 degrees in there!
December 2: Kelsey turned 6 months old! We didn't even have time to celebrate because Kyle and I were both swamped with work and meetings! Hopefully she will forgive us someday.
December 3-6: We had a fun getaway in San Clemente and enjoyed the beach in December.
December 7: Participated as a live nativity at a Community Creche Celebration. (Yes, Kelsey played Baby Jesus!)
December 9: Set up and prepared for Christmas Enrichment. I just became Enrichment Leader two weeks prior and had to plan and organize for this activity. Just a little stressful!
December 10: Enrichment night was a success! The theme was "Christ-Centered Christmas." We could all use a reminder of what Christmas is really about because it is so easy to get caught up in the commercialism. I made handouts with ideas for families to focus on Christ more during the holiday season.
December 12: I spent 3 hours at Kohls! Didn't realize that was possible. Fun hot chocolate, cookies, and game night with friends and family.
December 13: Spent another hour at Kohl's and got Kyle some new clothes for a stellar deal! Adult Christmas Party--Kyle and I sang a duet. Oh yeah, did I mention we only started practicing that morning! We received lots of wonderful compliments, and it was lots of fun to sing together!
Now, I just have to wrap Christmas presents and make sure we have everything ready for our big trip to Kauai in 12 days!
I will post some pictures later, but Kelsey just woke up!

Sounds like some crazy fun! And I had forgotten you were going to HAWAII!!! I am so jealous! Good luck getting everything done! (And by the way, we got your Christmas card, and it is so cute! Where did you have it done?)
