April has already been quite the adventure (some good, some bad)--pretty typical for us lately! We started off on the 1st of the month at Kyle's 4th round of chemo. This was his worst round while getting the treatment. We were there for 7 hours, and he just felt sick the whole time. It's hard to watch someone you love be in pain and you just feel helpless. I mean, I did my best to keep his mind off being uncomfortable, and I made sure to get the nurses when he was having bad side effects, but nothing was really helping. He continued to feel pretty groggy the next few days, more than his prior rounds, and finally, Monday night was the worst. He woke up in the middle of the night freezing, shaking, his whole body aching, and vomiting for several hours. Again, I just felt helpless. I took his temperature--only 99.1--I got him some water and tried to make him as comfortable as possible. I said prayers on his behalf, and that was all I could do. And after this awful night, what does he do? Does he stay home to rest and recuperate? No, of course not, this is Kyle after all. He went into work and went straight to a church meeting--gone for 12 hours! Crazy, right? I try and tell him to take it easy, but he doesn't listen to me . . . he just keeps chugging along! Personally, I don't think he likes to admit how big of a toll this is taking on his body, but I admire his determination! We have been grateful though that his bone pain (from the Neupogen shots that I administer--to keep his WBC counts up) has subsided and he didn't request an amputation this week, so that is progress! Let's hope it stays that way!
Later in the week, I was able to go spend some time at Disneyland with the girls and some of our great friends!

Even when the girls have spent 4 hours at Disneyland in the morning, played outside all afternoon, all they want to do when Daddy comes home is play outside some more!
Second morning in a row at Disneyland. (Yes, we were in the park at 8 am both mornings--a miracle in itself!)
Got to meet Tinkerbell. Miley was ready for a nap. (Side note: The lines to meet the princesses are RIDICULOUSLY long!)April will continue to be an adventure. We have Round 5 on Friday, and my Mommy is coming to visit or Easter! :)
