Miley's Birthday . . . Cont'd

Miley was excited to have Uncle Logan, Aunt Carolyn, and Baby Daniel come into town and celebrate her birthday a few days early!

She was not complaining about her practice round with cupcakes!

The invitation I made for Miley's party.

Picture of Kelsey after church last week. She just looks really grown up to me here.

Miley got to open up presents from us and Grandma on her birthday.

Our beautiful birthday princess!

The kids had a blast doing the limbo at the party! Once it got too low, they decided to jump over it instead!

Family picture.

Miley's yummy (and beautiful) birthday cake! It's hard to tell here, but it must have been 2 feet in diameter! It was amazing! Thanks Rhonda!

Miley actually figured out how to blow this week, so she blew out one of her candles all by herself! Kelsey helped with the rest!

Miley did not waste any time digging in!

Starting to get messy! By the end we needed to hose her off!

This cake is what we like to call finger-lickin' good!

The party was of course a stress being the day after Kyle had a chemo treatment, but we are sick of all the cancer stuff interfering with our plans, so we went through with it anyway, and it was great! Of course, we knew we would have a lot to do in the morning, so we tried to prepare what we could Friday night. We moved out some chairs, tables, and even one of our couches because it wasn't supposed to rain until Sunday! Wrong!!!! Totally had a pour down about 4:30 in the morning. This added more stress in the morning because we had to wipe everything down and wash our slip cover. Luckily, the sun came out and dried out the couch before the party started! Phew!

The party was a lot of fun! The kids had a blast playing and entertaining themselves for a few hours! And the adults enjoyed some delcious burgers topped with pineapple rings and all the good fixins (Kyle's Dad is a master griller) and some scrumptious Pina Coladas (virgin--in case you were wondering--thanks Jill!)

Kelsey enjoyed opening all of Miley's presents! Miley did take some of the tissue paper out, but Kelsey wasn't so patient about it so she graciously helped out with the rest!
