Waiting for May Flowers!

So, I started writing this post yesterday, but then I realized everyone would think it's an April Fool's joke. Unfortunately, it's the truth! Well, this year continues to bring us lots of unexpected and interesting situations. About two weeks ago, I was studying for a big test when I received a phone call from Kyle. He asked me if we could just move to California and informed me that he was on his way home. Considering it was about 10 am, I was pretty confused. To make a long story short, the company Kyle has been working for has not been doing very well, and Kyle and one of his co-workers were unexpectedly laid off. At first, I did not know how to take this news. I just asked if he was serious, and I started crying. I'm sure this is not the best news for anyone to receive, but especially not a 7 month pregnant woman! I couldn't stop crying all day--random spurts just kept occurring. I didn't take my test, I didn't go into work, and we were at a loss with what to do. Well, we've weighed out all of our options, and we still don't know exactly what we're going to do. We're just trying to have faith that something will work out, which has NOT been easy. People try and console us and say that things will be okay, and that there are lots of opportunities available. Well, I think this is one of those trials that many months or years from now we will look back on and perhaps see as a blessing, but it is definitely not a piece of cake for the time being.

On a happier note, I had my baby shower this weekend and it was AMAZING! Here are some pictures from the shower and the last couple of weeks in general.

My friend Katy came over to do my makeup. She did a great job on my face, if only she could have covered up my giant whale belly!
Here is all the yummy food we got to eat. And, pink gerber daisies are my favorite, so we had to have those for decoration!

Here's all the adorable stuff I got at the shower! Tons of cute outfits, books, blankets, bath stuff, bedding, and toys.
This is the blanket my mother-in-law made for me. I love pink and green! How did she know?
Kyle got this shirt online, and it was really long on him, which is very rare. He thought it would be funny if I tried it on, and it was seriously like a dress on me!
The Saturday before Easter, we went to a park for our friend's work's Easter Egg Hunt. We didn't do much hunting for eggs, but we did play frisbee. Sometimes my bro-in-law Logan decided he would throw it nowhere near me so I would have to run and leap for it!

This is a picture from Easter Sunday. We went over to Michael and Chelsea's and had a delicious feast!

On Monday night the whole family went to the Mayan restaurant in Sandy (or somewhere like unto it.) It was so much fun. We got to eat yummy food and watch people dive off cliffs at the same time!

Here is Kyle and me outside the restaurant in front of a big snake. Kyle absolutely loved this place. He was like a little kid in a candy shop or Disneyland!

Other than that, I only have seven more days of classes left, but I have been extremely stressed out with papers and assignments galore. When will the madness end? I hope I can finish my ten page paper that's due in a couple of hours that I only have one page completed so far!

You guys are still in our prayers every day--I hope things will clear out and you'll know what you're supposed to do soon! I'm so sorry! The baby shower was great, though, and it was so fun to see all the cute little girl things! You are going to be a great mom! :)
